UNIBROW STUDIO

We are a creative studio and media house that believes in authentic, human-centric storytelling. Our motto is “connect. collaborate. create.” We are on a mission to build an ethical, inclusive, and professional media house that provides quality services and nurtures talent.

OUR WORK IS TWO FOLD:

1. Client Services: We partner with a diverse range of clients, from local grassroots enterprises to large-scale national foundations, to create impactful films, branding, and design.

2. Originals: We produce our own original content, including our flagship documentary-style shows and podcasts, which celebrate resilience and grace in everyday life.

We are a small, passionate, and distributed team looking for someone who shares our vision and values.

THE ROLE : ARCHITECT OF VOICE & GROWTH

We are looking for a Video Editor who is more than just a “cutter.” We need a Storyteller.

We seek a creative who understands the silence in a documentary interview just as well as they understand the fast-paced rhythm required for an Instagram Reel. You will be the bridge between our high-end cinematic footage and the audience’s attention span.

You will work closely with the Creative Director to maintain our visual standard and with our Social Media Manager to ensure our edits perform on the feed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR UNIBROW STUDIO & OUR ORIGINAL SHOWS:

  • Long-Form Narrative: Edit full-length episodes of our docu-series (Everyday Ordinary), which typically run 30 minutes to 1 hour. You need to have the patience to find the emotional payoff within hours of raw footage.
  • Repurposing with Intent: Slice long-form content into compelling Shorts/Reels. You must understand how to take a 10-minute deep conversation and turn it into a 60-second hook without losing the soul of the story.
  • Audio & Color: Perform basic sound mixing and color correction to ensure the atmosphere and authenticity of the footage is preserved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OUR CLIENTS:

  • Serve as the main point of contact and social media strategist for a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop unique social media strategies and content calendars tailored to each client’s voice and goals.
  • Liaise directly with clients for content approvals, monthly updates, and to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Work with our internal production team to create, schedule, and publish all client content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
  • Set up, manage, and optimize basic paid social campaigns to boost reach and engagement.
  • Provide clear, concise monthly analytics reports to clients, explaining what the numbers mean and proposing next steps.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The Hybrid Editor: You have 2-4 years of proven experience. You are comfortable in the timeline of a long-form documentary, but you also live on social media and know what makes a Reel go viral.
  • Tool Agnostic but Proficient: We don’t mind if you edit in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut—as long as you are fast, organized, and deliver quality.
  • Motion Graphics Skills: Bonus points if you can handle motion graphics (titles, animations) using tools like Fusion, After Effects, or similar.
  • A Student of Attention: You don’t just edit for aesthetics; you edit for psychology. You know why a cut works. You understand that on YouTube, the first 5 seconds matter, and on Instagram, the first 3 seconds matter.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You leave your ego at the door. You take feedback from the Creative Director and the Social Media Manager to make the work better. You are a team player who believes in lifting others up.
  • Organized Pro: You maintain impeccable file structure and version control. You treat your project files with respect so that any team member can open your project and understand exactly what is going on.
  • Mission-Driven: You resonate with our values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, and Empathetic.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • A chance to be a core member of a small, passionate, and mission-driven team.
  • Creative Freedom: The unique opportunity to shape the visual style of our original IP from the ground up.
  • Exposure to a diverse and impactful range of clients.
  • A competitive salary based on your experience.
  • A culture that is honest, fun-loving, and collaborative. (We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take our work GodDamn seriously!)
